Hello Bubble community,
I am currently encountering a challenge with uploading images on my Bubble.io application. When users upload images, Bubble automatically compresses these files, which results in a significant reduction in image quality. This compression is problematic because the images lose their sharpness and clarity, impacting the overall user experience and presentation of visual content on my app.
My requirement is to allow users to upload images while maintaining as much of the original image quality and resolution as possible. High-quality images are critical for my use case—whether it’s for product photos, user profile pictures, or any content where visual details matter. Unfortunately, Bubble’s default image compression makes the images look blurry, pixelated, or lower resolution, which is not acceptable for my application’s standards.
I am looking for solutions or best practices from the Bubble community on how to:
- Prevent or reduce the compression applied by Bubble on uploaded images.
- Allow higher resolution images to be uploaded and displayed without losing detail.
- Possibly integrate third-party services or plugins that can handle image uploads without compression or with better quality control.
- Manage storage and performance implications when uploading high-resolution images.
If you have encountered similar issues or know of ways to configure Bubble’s image uploader for better quality, please share your advice or plugin recommendations. Any guidance on how to maintain image quality without compromising app speed or storage costs would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
